The aroma is lovely hoppy combined with sweet caramel notes. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and oranges leading to a dry end - but before that the body seems weak in the begining. dingo (37), USA
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Does this beer even have a flavor or taste? Nope. Does it have an aroma? Nope. I had this beer at the brewery in Denver and it had zero taste, zero flavor, zero aroma. I actually sent it back/dumped it for another fairly bland beer. I have never had such a crappy IPA in my life and suggest it be avoided. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2004 Tasted in Colorado (Denver). Tasted at Wynkoop Brewing Company. Liver is going to quit - I am NOT. Must complete my mission. Who does number 2 work for? (oops, wrong movie - bad timing). Deep deep copper colour. Sooo deep. White fluffy cumulous head, I see angels dancing on the peaks. Again, such a fruity aroma - mother of pearl. Taste is an orchestra of subtlety and destruction. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 10, 2004 Clear red appearance. Biscuity, hopy aroma. Low in carbonation (cask), sweet tropical fruit and biscuity malt with a good citric bite in the finish. Rated low because it’s my favorite style and I was not impressed. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2003 On tap at the brewpub: Clear orange with a big white head. Citrus aroma, solid body. Starts and ends moderately bitter. If this beer had a high ABV, I didn't notice it. PrinceofNessus (236), Westminster, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2003 When I first tasted this IPA my nose was kinda FUBAR, and I was kinda out of it too... West coast hops, a nice, lasting head, the IPA itself is slightly opaque. I liked it... I know thats not saying much but my notes are kinda crappy here... The bitterness is not too extreme, and it blends into a light sweetness. The palate is rather thin. JorisPPattyn (5193), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2003 (cask) Slightly hazy dark gold. Flimsy white head, reasonably stable. very fruity nose (exotic fruit as passion) and yeasty - smelling like green beer. Well-bitter taste with both noble and bitter hops. Enough malts underneath to support, without sweetening. Well-bodied. Aftertaste turns out malt-sweet. Nice one. But Imperial?
