hazy dark copper, wispy off white head, streaks of lace,
hot spicy pepper aroma with just a hint of a malt backbone,
malt flavor, nice pepper character is balanced by the malt rather than taking over, finish is a nice hot pepper but still well restrained,

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Light brass colored and pungent of chili that stays in your nose, yet is neither over-powering nor unpleasant. Mild woody, chili flavor that is quite well done. The malt backbone supports the chili flavors. This is a top-notch chili brew. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 13, 2006 On tap at the Wynkoop Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of chili and peppers. Tastes of mainly peppers. Thinner body. Had a light to medium ’hotness’ to the finish. For a chili beer this was quite drinkable.
