hazy dark copper, wispy off white head, streaks of lace,
hot spicy pepper aroma with just a hint of a malt backbone,
malt flavor, nice pepper character is balanced by the malt rather than taking over, finish is a nice hot pepper but still well restrained,

Aromas of chili and peppers. Tastes of mainly peppers. Thinner body. Had a light to medium ’hotness’ to the finish. For a chili beer this was quite drinkable. ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Hazy amber, small white head. Wet bread and spoiled honey in the nose with some small chile pepper note... spicy, green, natural but very mild, and the nastiness of the wet and soggy honey bread malt profile pretty much dominates. Little to no bitterness. Chile peppers present on the tip of the tongue but then it just disappears... it’s just gone. That’s not supposed to happen. No heat. What’s left is pretty bad - old moldy honey and soggy muffins. Blah. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with notes of chiles and other vegetables.
Flavor is moderately sweet.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, husky, unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly burning.
A very vegetal rendition with a deplorably nasty aftertaste that’s surprisingly light on the burning pepper heat I expected. Sorry, I don’t see the 2.7 average score personally. Yes, it’s better than Cave Creek, but that’s not saying too much in itself. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic
