acrdz (4406), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 13, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Hazy amber, small white head. Wet bread and spoiled honey in the nose with some small chile pepper note... spicy, green, natural but very mild, and the nastiness of the wet and soggy honey bread malt profile pretty much dominates. Little to no bitterness. Chile peppers present on the tip of the tongue but then it just disappears... it’s just gone. That’s not supposed to happen. No heat. What’s left is pretty bad - old moldy honey and soggy muffins. Blah. soyorganic (130), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 30, 2008 On tap in Denver. Light copper color with a small head. Aroma is distinctive chili spice. Taste is very similar, balanced and not much to notice but the chili flavor. Tastes better as you drink it, good beer and I like the idea. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 12, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Pours light amber with a thin white head. Has the requisite pepper aroma and little else. Flavor was not as disgusting as many chili beers with a medium hot spiciness. Intersting is the doughy flavors that also can be discerned amidst this concoction. Drinkable, but only in the sampler size. BDR (1929), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Nov 22, 2007 dWow. Not bad. Gold with faint ring of head. Chili peppers on the aroma. Well done chili. Spicy, but doesn’t turn the stomach. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Oct 26, 2007 Tap @ Wynkoop: Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. Huge chili pepper aroma. Some malt is able to get through. The flavor had a malty start with a chili flavored middle. Wasn’t really spicy though.
