Mar 1, 2008 Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, and toasted malt. Flavor is malty, toasted malts, and a bitter finish.

Dec 12, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. The palate was very harsh on this one. It had lots of berry flavors and a huge caramel taste. Relatively benign finish.

Nov 22, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Brown color with faint head. Nutty roasted malt. I didn’t know this was a marzen when i drank it - very flavorful for the style.

Oct 26, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 10/15/07: Transparent deep copper color with a full-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty German malt with good noble hoppy presence. Body is fairly full with a lightly sweet toasty pale maltiness and crisp slightly bitter hoppiness. Very true to style and drinkable.
