patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 10, 2009 tap at the brewpub - Pours mostly clear copper with a white head. It smells of bready malt and some fruit esters. Taste is pale bready malt and mild hops plus some graininess, especially in the lightly bitter finish. Not bad. arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 31, 2009
Dark orange color with a minimal head. Smell is malty. The taste is very malty at first and then gives way to nice fruity flavors. This was a good beer and I struggled to decide what style it was (not listed on the menu and I didn’t ask) but I think it was more ESB than pale ale. I would never have guessed a marzen.Nice stuff and I would have had two but I was driving.

Do not remember anything standing out in particular but they were all well done. TipsyAfter2 (15), Michigan, USA Mar 29, 2009 Great beer! Had on tap at the Wynkoop. Smooth flavor, no real aftertaste. Perfect for a light/amber lover like myself. Zinister (1198), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 15, 2009 On tap at brewery for GABF 08. Amber pour. Nose of grains, citrus, nuts and biscuits. Flavor has a nice nuttyness and hop profile. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jan 21, 2009 (Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted grain, caramel, biscuit, and light citrus. Flavor of hops (light citrus), nuts, caramel malt, and toasted grain. Dogbrick (2813), Columbus, Ohio, USA Nov 1, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear dark amber-orange color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing. Bready malt and mild hops in the nose along with some caramel. Medium, smooth body with caramel malt flavor and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet toasted malt and caramel with a mild hops aftertaste that is short. Pretty standard overall. masedawg (156), Statesville, North Carolina, USA Oct 23, 2008 Pretty average ale . Decent bittering hops, but the malt left a little to be desired. Apparently this is their best seller, but I wouldn’t waste my time with it again.
