| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2006 On tap at the Wynkoop Brewery 9/27/06. Clear copper color, light tan head. Aroma is some soft malt and light hops. Flavor is well balanced; nice soft malt with some nuttiness upfront, finishes fairly bitter. Medium light body. Overall, a really good everyday beer...soft maltiness of an oktoberfest, yet bitter. If they toned down the bitterness, it might actually pass as an oktoberfest, even with the ale yeast. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2006 I found this to be slightly lacking for the style. Some decent fruit flavors find their way into the mix with some sweet maltiness that turns slightly watery and loses everything it had going for it with a lack of body and flavor. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 7, 2005 Tap at brewery. Pours a deep amber with an aroma of fine malt. Flavor is weak roasted malt followed by a tangy sweetness. Palate is watery. Needs to be more assertive; finishes too watery. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Oktoberfest with ale yeast? Could be interesting, but after tasting, you’d as soon think it’s a gimmick to brew faster. Clear copper-red, diminishing off-white head. Husky, cerealic toasted malts dominate the leafy and herbal hops. Slightly fruity in mouth, soda pop like mouthfeel that manages to develop a minor creaminess, but can’t hide the extreme carbonation. Simply not very tasty. BeerandBlues2 (3231), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Draught. Pours mahagony with a rocky tan film. Sweet brown sugar caramel nutty malt (grain, meal) aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a lightly bitter finish with some fruit notes (peach). Thin and medium bodied watery palate.
