May 1, 2005 An amber beer with beutiful light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry hoppy end.

Apr 11, 2005 tap at brewpub-pours a cloudy ambe hue with a decent white head. some lacing going on. smells like a scotish ale-really malty. a decent body with mostly carmel malt flavors going on. A marzen? far from that!

Aug 29, 2004 After two crappy Wynkoop draws (IPA and ESB) this one tasted like the best beer in the world. Of course that is because the first two were terrible. A cup of coffee would have tasted like the best beer ever after the first two. This one was decent, but not great. It made my burrito taste better than the first two I had and actually made an unenjoyable experience ok. The service was pretty poor, but the food was good, the beer was warm and the evening was, well, it was an evening.

Aug 15, 2004 Tasted in Colorado (Denver). Tasted at Wynkoop Brewing Company. For me, no flagship here. Slight malty aroma, grassy grainy taste with a slight but muted bitter finish.
