Jul 9, 2008 deep black pour with a caramel head. decent thickness with a fruity, chocolatey flavor with notes of circus peanuts. smooth on the finish and not too shabby.

Jul 7, 2008 This beer was a new one to me, just recently hearing about it from a friend. This self-declared black beer was indeed black, and surprisingly smooth. With a slight carmel and chocolate taste, along with a roasty finish, I found this one to be highly drinkable. Highly recommended.

Jul 4, 2008 12 oz bottle. Very dark brown almost black with small tan head. Some light caramel malt aromas. Medium body with light carbonation. Sweet carmelized malt flavor with some roastyness in the finish. Low hop flavor and bitterness with just a touch of roasty astringency in the finish. Quite tasty

Jul 3, 2008 A black beer with almost no bitterness. Mild-bodied.I could smell the carmel, malts faintly. This is a great option for when you want to impress friends. An easy choice for imported exotic type beer.

Jun 24, 2008 12oz bottle from Coffee District. Pours a jet black with a small tan head. Nose is light caramel no roastiness which is odd for the appearance. Light and airy on the nose like a traditional lager. Taste is exotic spice, cardamom, caramel and light chocolate with a silky smooth finish. Interesting beer and really drinkable.

Jun 21, 2008 The score I gave this one looks pretty bad. It’s really not THAT bad of a beer. I wont spend money on it again when there are other options, but if it was bought for me, I wouldnt complain. Very dark beer that drinks like a very light beer. Strange in that respect. Good sized head that disappears almost immediately. If I were blindfolded, you wouldnt be able to convince me that this is a "black" beer. I say, try it once. But then again, I say try *anything* once.

Jun 17, 2008 Nice thick tan head, good body on the palate, rich aromas of chocolate and coffee. Taste like sweetened coffee and chocolate with a slight silky stickiness on the palate.
