| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Nice solid black brew with a smooth taste. Has a nice golden head. One of the downsides is that it tastes very light. It is malty and balanced with the hops very well. Hazelnut aroma can be triggered by gently mixing the drink. dude107 (7), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Bottle. Dark, opaque brown. Tan head. Looked much better than it ended up tasting. light roasted /coffee taste. Too boring, too sweet. Overall, not unpleasant, but I would never go out of my way to try it again. smashteroid (251), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Served cold from bottle. I was out for Brazillan food tonight and figured I would compliment the meal with a local beer (local meaning Brazilian, not Californian). It poured dark brown with a modest light-brown head. Aroma was mostly malts. Sweet. The taste was also mostly malts, and somewhat bland. Crisp and easy to drink. Not bad. Not good. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Tastes malty, lagerish, and mostly bland. Some wavering hints of dark fruits and a touch of smokiness as it warms. Hmmmm, better now? Still not exceptional or exotic. gringo332 (246), Richardson, Texas, USA
