Dark brown red body with a quick foamy light brown head. Roasted malt flavour. Medium body is thin. Nothing special but not bad. timfoolery (484), California, USA

This one lost some of it’s aroma-flavor upon the taste. However, it was very smooth and drinkable with little aftertaste. A tame, malty brew. Very good. graham515 (435), Houston, Texas, USA

Taste is smooth with a hint of chocolate to it. Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side. bhops (334), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Was told at a cuban restaurant that they had a brazilian lager and a brazilian stout.... went with the stout, which obviously turned out to be a black lager. Served too cold, so my initial reaction was negative, but decent enough at the right temperature. No head... malty with underwhelming hint of hops. Some roasted/caramel flavors. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Not much of a head even with a hard pour in a pint glass. Flavor has hardly any roasty characteristics. There’s a bit of flower flavor from the hops but other then that, this stuff is pretty uninspiring. emerson430 (87), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Deep, dark brown pour with a nice latte/mocha colored head. It quickly dissipates but was nice while it lasted. The flavor is not as intimidating as the color and aroma would suggest. A bit too malty for my taste and without a hop punch. Very drinkable but not something I would order/open more than one of at a time. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2007 Pours black with a loose, quickly disappearing light tan head. Very mild aroma - some graininess and very little sweetness. Body is quite light and moderately carbonated. The taste is mildly sweet with judt a suggestion of nuttiness and roast. A little more sweetness comes out on the finish. Easy drinking, but indistinct. dmac (1507), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 5, 2007 12 oz bottle purchased at Ocean W&S. Pours a fairly solid black with ruby highlights around the edges, a smatthering of medium sized bubbles clinging to the side of the glass and a two finger mocha color foamy head. Aroma of must, cooked vegtables and perhaps a slight touch of chocolate hiding in the background. Medium body with just a touch of carbonation that is highly quaffable. Sweet flavor with a touch of roastiness and perhaps some nuts. After giving the world the thong and the bikini wax I can find it in my heart to forgive Brazil for such an average beer.
