Sep 3, 2007 A small tan head. and very black body. The smell is malty. The taste is slightly sweet with a balance of toasted malt. The body is slightly thin and watery. To me it seem like it has a papery taste with a bit of tartness. The finish is quick and not lasting.

Sep 3, 2007 Poured black in color with almost no head, but was khaki in color. Had an aroma of malt & chocolate. Had a watery flavor and a weak finish.

Aug 31, 2007 Nice schwarzbier in a bottle at a Churrascaria in Long Beach. Bartender was a Brazileiro who told me that they only recently began to distribute this in Brazil, it was originally made only for export. Good non-wateryness for a schwarzbier.

Aug 21, 2007 bottle. Poured jet black (surprise) with little tan head that quickly dissipated. Sweet malts on the nose blend with almost rose-like hop notes, molasses. Lager-like clearness and light body, rather thin but to be expected. An unusual curio, though nothing particularly interesting.
