Dark brown with little head. Some nice fruity aromas. A bit of a tart sensation as well. Taste is thin, has some good flavors, but mostly subdued overall. Easy to drink, and low in ABV. Not bad.

Bottle. Dark garnet brown with a minimal off-white head. Nose is nutty, sweet, and slightly vinous with some hints of grape and apple juice. Flavor is sweet and sour, with some dark roasted malt. Some dark fruits lingering, but overall kind of watery and bland.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of skunk, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is roasty and quite sweet. It’s alright, but to watery and sweet.

I had this beer at Cubanitas, our local Cuban restaurant. I thought it rather similar to Negro Modelo; in other words dark, lightly sweet and malty, and altogether not bad but also not exceptional. Mouthfeel is not substantial, and a bit watery. Altogether, not highly recommended, but OK.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a beige head, sweety aroma with notes of roasted malt and notes of chocolat. Flavor is sweety and bitter nice balanced, poor finish. Cerveja preta com uma espuma bege, aroma com notas de malt torrado e chocolate, sabor entre o doce e o amargo. O sabor some rápido da boca.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. It pours like a stout but drinks very light. There is a very fruity/sweet taste and finish. Very interesting. It has a taste of raisin, date and a slight cherry twist. Very high carbonation. (Notes from a 1-27-07 tasteing.)
