33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, creamy with a nice brown head. Aroma is sweet malty, slight chocolat. Flavour is mainly sweet with a creamy mouthfeel, very classic caribbean/south american stoutish beer, simply too sweet, but better than some of the others I’ve had.

Decent beer. Aroma is fruity, spicy and maybe roasted malt. The beer pours a black/red, medium head. Flavor is little bitter, little sweet. Short finish. Not bad at all.

Pours a blackish dark brown, with a very dark brown, oily head. Smells lightly of licorice, brown sugar and malt. Not a very robust aroma. Taste is also understated with malt (like molasses without the sugar, probably doesn’t make any sense), licorice and just a touch of chocolate at the very end of the palate. The mouthfeel is pretty nice with a somewhat silky texture from the tiny bubbles, but at the end of the day this is a beer macrobrewed by coors. The taste is not very good.

12 oz. bottle enjoyed at Waldo Pizza in KCMO. Pour is nearly all black with a hint of red. Really nice looking creamy khaki head. Aroma was not much, though picked up on a bit of roast coffee. Taste is quite thin, and the roast coffee comes through with a touch of smokiness which was nice. The finish was clean and crisp. Overall a very drinkable beer with a little bit of character.

Bottled. Beer is very dark reddish brown with a small, white, frothy, mostly and rapidly diminishing head.
The aroma is malty with light notes of roasted grain, traces of molasses, caramel; Hoppy with light notes of herb; Yeasty with moderate notes of dough; Trace-to-light notes of black pepper.
The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, trace bitter with a long, moderately acidic, lightly bittersweet, dirty finish.
The body is medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.
Sweet and dirty.

Pours pitch black with a light brown, thin head. Smells of smoke, bark, and dark malts. Pretty mellow though. The taste is pleasant, nice dark creamy texture, hints of chocolate and some coffee, and just a touch of some smoke. Pretty easy to drink, would be a good bar-b-que beer. Not bad at all.

Pours a deep black, as advertised, with a pleasantly creamy head. The nose has coffee notes with hints of chocolate and roasted nuts. In the mouth, it delivers a bit of sweetness offset by roasted hops--though only in a mild form--followed by very slight coffee notes and a bit of almond on the back of the tongue. Overall, quite fair.
