12oz. thin, oily, non-residual head and a cream black hue. predominantly fresh malt aroma, and a little zingy fruit. for a rich pour, it’s a lighter beer. clove, port wine on the midpalate for taste. tastes a bit thin and the finish is rather short. unremarkable at best, but it’s nice to see brazil can play in the same court as sam adams.

Viva drinkability. Hacia abajo con originalidad. habla englais I remember lovingly this beer of my adolescence. This is the sweeter and smoothest way than the schwartzbier i remember from the 22oz. of my youth. This is now so drinkable and so domesticated and downright sweet. Its simplicity is disappointing. As the torsión of the top. Long live drinkability! Downward with originality.

Cerveja escura - coloração bastante escura, espuma caramelo, cheiro normal. Amarga, sem sabor adocicado. Não é encorpada, leve. Não me agradou tanto, mas também não desagradou ao ponto de parar de beber.

Pours opaque brown/black with a medium head. Good lacing. Aroma of dark malts and dates. Medium body. Somewhat creamy texture. Very sweet throughout.

I absolutely loved this one. I’ve forgotten how absolutely pleasent swartzbieren are. The color was almost pitch black, with just a little off-white head. There were flavors of chocolate and caramel. Hops in there a little. The ad--"Black Silk"-- was a perfect descriptor of the palate.

Pours a deep dark brown with just a hint of ruby red when held to the light Topped by an inch of creamy tan foam. Decent retention, good lacing. Some chocolate and grain in the aroma. Bittersweet chocolate in the initial sip, sweeter chocolate and a little hop presence in subsequent sips. Actually fairly clean tasting, pretty smooth, sweet but not cloying as the flavors are mild and blend together nicely. Some molasses and coffee in the aftertaste. Not quite medium body with great carbonation. Yeah, I could drink this, but would like it more if had a little bolder flavor.

Very interesting and surprising beer. The case caught my eye and I couldn’t find anything else that looked interesting so I picked it up. It poured very dark with some red tints so I was completely assuming a stout flavor. Upon smelling, though, I knew this was not a stout. The first thing I thought of was fruit, with some odd scent in the background. Then after tasting I tasted sweetness. Like a sweetened lager with some bite. I immediately thought there was some odd Brazilian fruit in there, but I was wrong. It could have used a bit more flavor, but I have never tasted a beer like this so I very much enjoyed it.

Pours opaque brown-black with a thin iff-white head that promptly relents to gravity, leaving bits of lacing. Faint metallic aroma with dy grain bits of sour grass. Flavor is lightly toasted grain, moderate hop bitter, and a touch of grassy-sour hop flavor. Thinnish body and palate. Basic, inoffensive and refreshing.
