Pours to a medium full body tan head. The flavor spreads over your tongue like fire in a tinderbox. Goes down really smooth and leaves you waitng for the next bottle. Very minerally with just an undertone of malt. Light finish and a light beer. Refreshing and a little different. RichardW (253), Carlisle, Cumbria, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Bottle, Tesco, Carlisle. One I’ve been meaning to try for a while, as it looked intriguing. Soft and full flavoured, with plenty of berries in the taste. Quite light in body, drank like a pleasant sweetish mild. Not bad, but not spectacular. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2009 I had not seen this beer since back in my early days of rating so it was nice to come across it again. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small dark brown head that faded quickly. The aroma was fruity and malty with a touch of cherry and a anise. The flavor was ripe cherry, roasty malts, a touch of molasses, caramel and vanilla. The finish was long with malt and cherry. Medium body. Nice. Nejhleader (929), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA
