Pours a short lived mocha colored head, with good lacing, over a clear dark brown black (SRM 35) body....nose is dark roasted malts (coffee, chocolate, molasses) bit of wood and spice including anise....taste is sweet malts with caramel. toffee, molasses, fruit tones (banana, mango) ending slightly bitter and medium dry.....mouth feel is light, carbonation medium. This is a very interesting exotic beer with many layers of flavor.
