Bottle - Pours dark and beautiful, with a big, bubbly tan head. Aroma is clean, with malty sweetness almost like an Oktoberfest, with honey and light fruit notes. Taste is chocolate and bread, with a light floral hop finish. Light and easy to drink, I could see myself taking several of these down without even knowing it. Very nice.

Dec 17, 2009 12oz bottle-pours a tight light brown head with trailing lace and black color. Aroma is earthy, dark malt-chocolate. Taste is earthy hops/dusty, dark malt-chocolate. Initially seems thin, then becomes smooth, medium body.

Dec 14, 2009 ( 12oz bottle) pours near black with ruby highlights and nice oily light tan head. Nose of brown sugar, corn, and nutty aromas. Taste is lightly toasted grain, sweet malt, nutty sweet. Nice creamy finish with good carbonation. A good schwarzbier.

malt, smoke slight chocolate. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy, salty, smokey chocolate flavor. After taste is sweet and malty. Interesting.

Dec 6, 2009 A sound, good tasting beer. I had it at a Churascuria and it went well. Dark without having the super strong flavors of stouts and porters. Of anything I’ve ever drunk, it reminded me of Negra Modelo.

Nov 27, 2009 This has a strong aroma that hits you as soon as you open the bottle. Pours to a medium full body tan head. The flavor spreads over your tongue like fire in a tinderbox. Goes down really smooth and leaves you waitng for the next bottle.

Pours a short lived mocha colored head, with good lacing, over a clear dark brown black (SRM 35) body....nose is dark roasted malts (coffee, chocolate, molasses) bit of wood and spice including anise....taste is sweet malts with caramel. toffee, molasses, fruit tones (banana, mango) ending slightly bitter and medium dry.....mouth feel is light, carbonation medium. This is a very interesting exotic beer with many layers of flavor.
