Bottle courtesy of jetzler - big thanks. Strong sour wheat malt aroma with a hint of hops. Slightly cloudy light yellow color with moderate head. Wheat malt and moderate hops flavor. NIce grain aftertaste. According to James, this is a special version of Krebs Choc beer that is slightly filtered with a small hops addition made especially for the XO Lounge in the Colcord Hotel in OK City. Very nice beer.

(Bottle) Bought at Joe’s Place in Norman, OK. This is a pretty good beer. Mild and tasty. Some hoppiness is there, but it’s balanced. It has a surprisingly full mouthfeel as well. This is hands down the best Krebs brew.

Bottle. Metal, spiky, aluminum, tooth picks, plain, dry, tastes like mediocre homebrew.

Here is the story on this beer, we asked originally for a mildly hoppy European style pale lager, because the lounge does not carry any BMC’s we needed something to offer those drinkers. We had forgotten about Long Island Tea’s. The guys at krebs brewed a small batch for us to sample, it was decent and it was a lager, the labels were designed and approved. Then the brewers returned with a new sample which was a slightly filtered wheat, that had a lite hop addition to it. This still tasted good and so we choose it. When I mention the beer to customers I describe it as XO Wheat, becuase most BMC drinkers don’t know what a lager is but are familar with wheat beers. Anyway here is my rating. Bottle 44F Weizen Glass. Definate wheat aroma, slighty breaddy with a bit of citrus hops, but not too dominate. It pours a light and cloudy yellow but not too cloudy, with a decent head. The flavor is slightly sweet from the wheat, with just a slight bite of hops, a bit of a rustic tone to the wheat. A lighter palate but still has a bit of texture becuase of the wheat. It’s not bad and the BMC, drinkers think they have found something really cool when they try it.

Thanks ericandersnavy for sending. Pours a murky amber with a one finger creamy offwhite head. The aroma is sour wheat, earthy, herbal character, a tad off. The flavor is tart, wheaty, crisp, earthy/herbal character, green appley. Palate is tart and crisp. Meh

Thanks to jetzler. Pale straw body and medium fizzy white head. Aroma and flavor are doughy and sweet with some apparent adjunct signatures and light citric notes. Very low bitterness. Quaffable and inoffensive, especially as cold as I served it.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. The smell is skunk, ver lemony, malts, grainy, and fruit. The look is clear, darker golden, with a decent white head. The taste is is little dry, watery, malts, and fruit.
