omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 7, 2003 Bottled. Pale yellow. Sweet aroma of old vegetables. Thin, chemical and mellow wit a flvour reminding of unfermented wort. No hops to be detected, but at least it has a soft mouthfeel. bierkoning (4716), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 7, 2003 White bottle. Gift from my neighbor, a truckdriver who found this bottle in Rotterdam Harbor. Vague glue-like aroma. Sweetish, grainy flavor. Some orange, a hint of soap, rice and no hopbitterness. Very bland lager with a total lack of quality. Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Jul 24, 2002 unfortunately, I have no notes on this beer, only thing I can remember is that this is one of the worst beer I have ever tried hopscotch (4460), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2007 Bottle... Clear light yellow lager with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Good retention. The nose is all biscuit and jalapeño pepper... wacky stuff. The flavor leans just a smidgen on the sweet side of balance. Lightly citric with peppery hops. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and restrained carbonation. Medicinal, bittersweet finish. chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Jun 18, 2005 Move along folks there’s nothing to see here. To be honest I don’t know which of the 5.5% beers this was as it was labelled "Extra Yanjing Beer". No mention of rice in the ingredients in the ingredients - just barley, "grains" and hops. Sweetish, bland and innocuous. Just as I expected. Not offensive - I’ve had worse. 330ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk
