Yankee Jim Honey Lager

Can, 355 ml, purchased at the LCBO, "savoured" on June 6 2008; eye: amber, clear, lots of tan head that turns into a tiny ring, slight effervescence, a bit of lacing; nose: grainy malt, corn, light sweet, light honey; mouth: grainy malt, little wave of honey, corn, honey becomes more present as the beer warms up, finale in grainy malt with a hint of honey, grainy texture, mildly sweet, medium-light body, rather carbonated; overall: once is enough FRANÇAIS Canette, 355 ml, achetée à la LCBO, « savourée » le 6 juin 2008; œil : ambrée, claire, beaucoup de mousse fauve qui se transforme en un petit anneau, très légère effervescence, un peu de dentelle; nez : malt granuleux, maïs, léger sucré, léger miel; bouche : malt granuleux, petite vague de miel, maïs, miel devient plus présente à mesure que la bière se réchauffe, finale en malt granuleux avec une pointe de miel, texture granuleuse, moyennement sucrée, corps moyen-léger, plutôt carbonatée; en résumé : une fois c’est suffisant

355 mL can. (Purchase made based on price.) Yellow-brown with almost no head. Very little smell, either. Taste is weak - malty sweet, more brown sugar than honey. And corn. No hops that I noticed. Fairly heavily carbonated. Not good. (I snuck the rest of these into the Speedway, where I had no choice but to buy a coffee and dump it, so I could use the cup. The coffee remnants definitely improved the taste of this beer.)

The head dissipated quickly when poured. This dark amber-red liquid is lightly malty, slightly sweet, and has only a hint of hops with no aftertaste.

amber hue with off white head, it has earthy aroma mixed with a whiff of honey. it is slightly sweet and bitter, ill balanced.
