It’s not a strong or powerful beer...it’s a little on the lighter side and while the hops have a bold presence, they’re only moderately strong. I really like the character of the hops...they are very cool and clean tasting and make for an extraordinarily refreshing brew. The malt is also rich but without being heavy, and blends well with the hops. Not a great deal of complexity, but certainly an enjoyable beer and among the better of the American Pale Ales I’ve tried. What really makes this beer is its balance, subtlety, and a complete lack of any of the objectionable qualities that plague many micro-brewed pale ales.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Shared beer club 12oz. bottle. Poured a clear, golden hue with modest, white, bubbly foam to the head and spots and streaks of lacing. The nose was mainly a floral/gardenia aroma, with secondary mid-toned fruit hints. The flavor added light malt, a little resin, and light hop bitterness. The body was on the light side, and the texture was somewhat watery. inkubus27 (255), Highland, Indiana, USA
