Beerman6686 (1266), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2009 This one poured a clear yellow alsmot straw color with a white head. Aroma was corn and grassy not much aelse. Flavor was typical pale lager but nothing really offensive. Not good but more refreshing than the average of this style. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2009 Sampled at the ’09 RBPTE, courtesy of cheapdark. Light malt aroma and light hops, with a bit of corn aroma. Light yellow clear colorwith small frothy white diminishing head. Light thin body with average carbonation. Fairly standard pale lager taste with a bit of corn and light bitter finish. Sonicdescent (374), Donora, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2009 Scent reminded me of a Heiney (beer not body part) that hadn’t been skunked. Fizzy and yellow in the pour, not much going on there. Tiny hop bite in the taste, refreshing. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2009 sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow-golden color with a large white head. The aroma was sweet, tangy, lightly fruity and a bit tart. The flavor was sour, nutty and tart with a touch of caramel and a long tart finish. Better than I expected. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2009 S5L1T5F3O12 Nice big friendly 17 oz bottle. Like a bomber but smaller. Clear pale yellow ubiquitous appearance. Friendly aroma, yeasty and all. Taste is simple and refreshing, no ill attributes so far. Almost lemony or citrusy at times and carries with it a definite pilsner attitude with the slightly sharp lager hops. Rather enjoyable cheap pale lager experience. $1 per bottle at J.R.s in Rochester Pa. Looking forward to more of these. The lower alky beer character is reflected in its kind attitude. Goes down way too easy for a lager lover. DerBiermeister (504), Birmingham, Alabama, USA May 25, 2009 This was a nice Russian brew which was fairly malt-driven and otherwise nondescript, aside from moderate yeastiness. Plain, and versatile for food pairings. Pleasant. mreusch (715), Olathe, Kansas, USA May 18, 2009 Can from a neighborhood market in Vladivostok. Pours a clear golden yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is pale malts, toasted grains, biscuit and light citrus. Flavor is toasted grains, biscuit and citrus. Eh, drinkable, and just another Russian pale lager... JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jan 31, 2009 Pale golden beer... with a thin white head. Lean pale malt aroma. A bit of minty/herbal hops. Pretty clean tasting. Light pale malt and a light sweetness. It’s very simple, but it really isn’t bad.
