Very lightly roasty with medium body and quite mellow mouthfeel. Low-medioum bitterness. Not a terrible lot of character - a typical inustrial beer. Cornfield (4964), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Subtle aromas of roasted malts and a sweet nuttiness are echoed in the flavor, along with a surprizing touch of chocolate. It’s a bit watery with a wanting finish, but it’s definitely a drinkable beer.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2004 Brown/orange color with a smallish beige head. Light dry caramel aroma. Lower rate only as there is light aroma at all. Light nutty sweetness. This reminds me of past days and Blatz Culmbacher (as we often referred to as "America’s great true light, dark beers"). Lots of malt in the finish, but there again you have to look for it. Lower marks are only because of a lack of substance. Actually a pretty well made brew. A beginners dunkle. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 1, 2006 Reddish brown lager with a thin off white head. Faint aroma of caramel and chalk. In mouth, rather bland sweet malt with no hops, light to medium bodied, boring beer, bought about 6 months ago. Ernest (4499), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is clear medium brown. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal, nuts, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a light note of chemicals. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Slightly industrial, but not abyssmal. Surprisingly good-sized and retentive head. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

This is a medium to dark brown bodied beer with garnet high lights. The head is frothy with a very light khaki color. The aroma has some light toffee with some old apples. The taste is mild and light cherries with some Oreo cookie filling. There is also a little bit of weak coffee. This is actually a decent dunkel. Braudog (3773), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2006 Bottle: Poured an amber red with just a thin head. A hint of brown sugar in the aroma. The flavor is starkly cooked malt, brown sugar, candied malt. More oktoberfesty than dunkel-like. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
