zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Sep 4, 2009 (bottle - 500 ml) Clear gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet and metallic. Some dry grass and hay. Sweet and bitter on the taste with a corny and stale hop bite at the end. Watery and not good. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2009 $1 from JRs in Rochy for a big almost bomber size bottle. Friendly looking label and it has the appearance of class, at least on the outside. Has a little of that typical cheap pale american lager aroma, almost triggers the chepo beer alarm. Thin scum on top for a head. Looks flat. Ceryainly stronger than and a little more rancid than the original yar. Has mor of an industrial side to it. Better or equal to most mass lagers from around here. I would also say there is a slight tartness to this brew. May be difficult for a lager lover who does not appreciate hgh gravity beers. OK, hover, for the most part. Finish has that wierd lager background so common in the not so macro City brews. mreusch (715), Olathe, Kansas, USA Jun 5, 2009 Can in Vladivostok. Pours a clear light golden yellow with a large and lasting bright white head. Aroma is surprising on this one, with dried fruits, sweet malts, and light citrus. Flavor is mild, with more dried fruits and toasted malts. More aroma than flavor on this one, but that’s still not saying much. FatPhil (3446), Espoo, Finland May 19, 2009 500ml can (St. Petersburg) gift from Serge at work - thanks!
Very light amber, fluffy head. Sweet and estery aroma, quite fruity. Simple lagery taste, mostly sweet malts, but with a noticable hoppy bite. Finish is mostly bitter hops, some a bit metallic, but also some green too. Vapours are a touch alcoholic, the sugariness can’t hide it all. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Apr 26, 2009 Yarpivo Amber, 500ml bottle from Tenuta’s. Amber? Perhaps the marketing department needs to check out a color wheel as this thing was pale golden yellow with a slight haze and a sudsy white head. Aroma of perfumed malts, cereal grain, soap and cooked veggies. Taste of nasty burnt malt, corn syrup, corn and vegetation. Finishes up with corn and dirty socks and leaves a layer of gritty resinous crap on my tongue. This one is just plain awful. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Feb 13, 2009 I the 0.5L bottle from HyVee CB. Skunk-O-rama!!! Yuk! First of all, this beer is not even amber: it is a bright canary yellow. Has a medium white head. The flavor is quite sweet. Has a residual mild hop bitterness all the way to the end. The flavor is not so bad, it’s just that awful skunky aroma that sucks. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Dec 31, 2008 Aroma is nice and nutty... very pale golden colour. Aroma is lightly malty. Sweet and slightly grainy. A kiss of cidery character on the back that isn’t all that good. Meh. OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA Dec 5, 2008 Golden yellow with a bubly white head. Slightly skunky smell. I was surprised. This was actually a pretty good beer and it only cost $2.39 at the neighborhood specialty liquor store. It almost tasted like a very light pilsner.
