Oct 21, 2009 Draft at the brewery, part of a sampler. Pours clear brown with a quickly vanishing small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, toast, caramel. Flavor is really roasty, with caramel malt and hops. I’m kind of surprised not more people had the same impression I did, that there is just a massive roast quality to this. Light bodied, thin consistency, and a quick dry finish.

Sep 2, 2009 Crazy name. From WeeHeavySD. Super dry. roasty. Tastes like a cigarette butt stuck in water. Smells like mugi cha. A hint of chlorine phenolics too. Blech.

Aug 20, 2009 This beer has become one of my favorite session beers around Nashville over the past year. Have had both on bottle and draft, but this review regards the draft had at the taproom. Arrived with a small tan head on top of a clear brown color with hints of red on the edges. Aroma is of caramel malts. Caramel also comes through in the taste along with roasted malt and some bready notes. More than easy to down a few of these in a single sitting.

Aug 1, 2009 Transparent ruby, thin white head is gone if you look away. Nose is straightforward roasted malt, hints of smoke and caramel. The caramel is strong in the flavor, washing everything else out but slight hints of smoke. Pretty dry, short, empty finish. Too sweet to session and to simple to savor.

Jul 30, 2009 Pours a copper-amber body with a ring of beige head. Smells of roasted and caramelized malt. Flavor is the same. Finish is thin and short. Extra points for being a local brew.

Jul 29, 2009 Quite possibly my first rate from the state. Thanks to Todd for sharing! Clear brown pour with thin beige head. Sweet malty aroma. Caramel, light hops and toffee. Dry and slightly astrigent finish
