| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2007 (Tap) Pours an even brown color with very little head. Aroma of light caramel and toffee. Taste includes notes of grain, grass and medium-bodied malts. Medium mouthfeel for an altbier. Moderate fine carbonation as well. This was a pretty good beer, but generally unexciting. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours brownish with tan head. The aroma has lots of malts with caramel mixed with lightly roasted malts, some chocolate malts and also faint dark fruity esters. The flavor has an array of mild malt notes mixed with faint dark fruit, a bit of earthiness and faint floral hops. Nice. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA

The shocking beer of the tasting, I think all of us liked this one quite a bit more than the average rater. Light brown pour with watery looking edges. Small white head with medium density, eventually making way to bubbly foam. Nose is wonderfull, chocolate malts, tobacco, leather, figs, ripe dark fruits, hops and toasty grains. Flavor is a bit below the aroma, but still very nice, with all of the components accounted for. Light to medium bodied, sticky palate. Sweet chocolate malt finish, medium-long in length. A very good beer, and massively underrated in my eyes. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Aroma was slightly malty and somewhat grainy. Flavor had some minor chocolate hints, but mainly just some malts with a noticeable, yet unpronounced, hop finish. Pretty good with no major flaws detected. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Pours chestnut with a light off white head and lots of carbonation. Inoffensive, almost undetectable aroma. As for the flavor, I usually like alt beers, but not this one so much. I thought it was way too much in the vein of a boring old lager. Grain, malt and maybe some flat cola like presence. Medium wet mouth feel/body. Snorz-ville. I prefer the draught over the bottle, but beggers can be choosers. This was the first beer I had at Yazoo when they arrived in Nashville.
