I prefer the draught over the bottle, but beggers can be choosers. This was the first beer I had at Yazoo when they arrived in Nashville. NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2008 The aroma was malty and nutty with a toasty characteristic of Munich or Vienna malt. The aroma was lightly spicy with caramel and a crisp lager character. The beer poured clear amber brown with a low off-white lasting head which laced the glass. The flavor was nutty with a toasty aspect, again from Munich malt. Caramel was notable along with a light spicy hop character and a light fruity nature. The beer also had a slight bit of roastiness. The body was medium with a moderate level of carbonation. The finish was dry with lasting Munich malt flavor into the aftertaste and beyond. A really nice Vienna Lager. Two bottles at Mortons in Nashville. Ibrew2or3 (2761), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA

The aroma has lots of malts with caramel mixed with lightly roasted malts, some chocolate malts and also faint dark fruity esters. The flavor has an array of mild malt notes mixed with faint dark fruit, a bit of earthiness and faint floral hops. Nice. puggy211 (589), cordova, Tennessee, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2009 I’m rating this pretty high because I can’t remember the last time i had an amber lager that i actually found passable. Super smooth! All the way through, this is so enjoyable- nutty, creamy and rich on the palate with a soft toastiness in the finish. Colour is a beautiful clear dark reddish brown. Medium sized head with decent amount of lacing and froth around the glass. Aroma is nice with soft caramel and almond notes on the nose. Thanks Blues! Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA

Nice dark amber pour with a fairly decent head that fades out to a small ring.
Smells very similar to a brown ale. Some brown sugar sweetness and breadiness.
Very smooth malty taste that I wasn’t expecting with this. Hell, this is a damn good beer....
I could easily session this beer with no problem at all. I have had two Yazoo offerings now and I’m pleasantle surprised with both of them. ericnixon (719), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2006 Bottle from the second week of September (according to the born on notch-thing). Weird picture of two dueling devil dog monsters wearing blue jeans. Nice deep brown color. The chocolate in the flavor gave it a mild stout-like feel and taste. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Bottled during the 4th week of August.
Appearance: Pours out a near clear, humble-looking, dark brown body with a thin, ivory-hued head.
Smell: Nutty, earthy maltiness in the aroma with notes of cocoa and ripened fruits, as well as some spicy hop accents.
Taste: The expected brown maltiness with its nuttiness, bread crust hints, and taste of mild cocoa powder. Fairly fruity throughout. Mild hop character with just a bit of spiciness and low level bitterness for balance. Further earthy nuttiness on the back end with that ever persistent fruitiness. Finishes relatively dry.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel.
Drinkability: A pleasant, easy-drinking brew from good ole Yazoo out of Nashville. I should, the Good Lord willing, have no trouble clearing through the remainder of the six-pack.
