curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Oct 5, 2009 Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Pours orange with a slight haze and a foamy white head. Aroma is pineapple tangerine, more sweet than bitter. Taste is the same floral hop with some bitterness on the finish. Sweeter than most of the Hop projects, but not too much. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jul 25, 2009 Sampled on draft at the Music City Brewers Festival. Pours a clear amber with impressive sudsy light tan head. Nose and flavor are a delightful marriage of grapefruit and pineapple hops with just enough age to mellow out a bit. This is holding up great. Very nicely done1 BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Mar 12, 2009 This weeks Monday night draft special at the Nook along with #10. Hazy orange in the glass with an off-white head that had a thin layer last and left light lace. Floral aroma. The flavor had a smooth grapefruit and citrus hoppiness. Medium body but slight lighter than #10. If you are a hop head, go with #10. If you like a smooth IPA, go with #11. Thanks to Neil for coming down and sharing this with the Huntsville crowd. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 12, 2009 On draft at the Yazoo taproom. Poured a hazy amber/orange color with a one finger white head. The aroma is very hoppy, with floral and citrus hop notes, mainly grapefruit. The flavor was very well balanced. A standard malt base gives way to a citrus finish. Again grapefruit dominates, but notes of lemon and orange are here too. I’m glad they’re gonna bottle this. I can’t wait to share this with others. illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 11, 2009 Draft at 12 South Taproom. Pours amber orange with a white head and slight haze. Aroma of floral hops with some faint catty notes. Not nearly as strong in aroma as #10. Nice mouthfeel with a body that is on the lighter side of medium, with average carbonation. Very light honey like pale malts provides the backdrop to a nice, non-aggressive citrus rind hoppiness. The residual sweetness on this is just about right. Finishes with a slight dryness with some lingering sweet grapefruit and hop resin. I like where Linus is going with this. Seems a tad hoppier than #10. I also found this somewhat refreshing for an IPA. This would actually qualify for a summer beer in my book
