| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Growler at the ’09 Fish Fry. Pours gold with sticky white head. The aroma is hoppy and rather floral. The flavor is nice floral hops with a rather assertive bitterness. There’s a strange cucumber note in there that is, erm, interesting. There’s a little bit of yeasty bread in the background. Pretty decent. illinismitty (1797), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Draft at Flying Saucer. Pours a hazy amber orange with a white head. Aroma of floral and piney hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The malt profile is rather tame, giving way to the hops, which start with a tangerine flavors and transition to pine and grapefruit. The finish is semi-dry, slighly grassy, and heavy on grapefruit rind and hop resin. Not bad, but I liked 11 better. lithy (1700), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Sample from a growler shared by me. Light amber orange with a small soapy head. Aroma of big pine hops, resin. Taste is forward resin hops, smooth caramel, toffee, apples, sweet malt with a nice bitter pine hop finish. Butters (1650), Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Draft at woody’s and at BeerHawk’s Beer Gods in the Boro, aka 1000 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, By God Beer God Gathering, BG1K Tasting. Pours a murky orange color with fair tan head and lacing. Sweet, resiny, citrusy, floral, pine, hop aroma is damn good. A lot of that is translated into the flavor, but it is just a hair less impressive than the aroma. Lingering bitter finish is a little much for my personal taste. But a damn fine beer. If this gets enough ratings, I’d say this might be the best beer produced from Tennessee! At any rate, it’s definitely superior to #13. I wish this had been the one that got the privilege of the first hop project to be bottled in the brewmaster packs. Alas... nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Updated: Apr 10, 2009On draft at the brewpub. Poured a dark gold color with a fluffy off white head. The aroma was very citrusy, dominated mainly by grapefruit. Other notes of bready malt and a hint of flowers were present. The flavor was well balanced, with a solid malt base and a full grapefruit flavor and finish. This one gets back on track with the 8 and 9 variations. Still, it isn’t as good as number 9.
