Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA Oct 13, 2009 Pours with an amber orange body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with nice citrusy hop notes as well as light fruit notes. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch warming. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear amber with an average, frothy, white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, meal, caramel), heavy hop (flowers, citrus, pine), average yeast (dough) with notes of pear and green apple. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Jun 20, 2009 Bottle from Sean. Thanks. Pours out a dark orange color with a tan head on it. Smell is full of orange peel and a nice hop smell. Smells kinda like hopslam light. Taste is fruity and very citrusy. Moderate carbonation makes it very drinkable. Smooth, and this really compares to two hearted in my mind. Good stuff, too bad they are limited to 6% because I think they could really brew some outstanding stuff. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 17, 2009 Bottle courtesy of BeerHawk – thanks Steve! Pours a cloudy orangish gold with a thick three finger off-white head that results in nice lacing. The nose is sweet citrus and malt. The taste is sweet citrus, grapefruit and resin with a malt backbone. Medium bodied – good IPA. Thanks again Steve! curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 16, 2009 Pours hazy amber with a nice beige head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, honey, and other sweet citrus fruits. Taste is sweet citrus hop with a great hop bite finish. Excellent because the aroma lead me to believe it would be sweeter than bitter but it’s not, also has enough malt backbone to support the bitterness. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jun 8, 2009 Tap @ the 1st Annual Rocket City Brewfest. 08 may 09. Clear- orange color. Light aroma of pine and citrus. Flavor is refreshingly sweet. Lot of hops. Very bitter. Pine, citrus. Finishes bitter. sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jun 2, 2009 Tasted 4/18/09. Schlafly’s Repeal of Prohibition Festival. Filtered with a deep golden hue. Layer of bubbled off white head. Bright floral and fruity hop aromas. Full bodied with a depth of bitterness, Sticky body with floral and piney notes. Nice tangy orange and grapefruit hop flavor. Big, complex and totally tasty! Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA May 27, 2009 They should label the bottles or combine the ratings because it is way too much work to figure out which one I have so I am rating this as it has the most ratings. This poured a orange color with an orange and perfume aroma. The flavor is rather tame with some slight bitterness and some oranges and lemons. This one is really missing the hop bite I like in an IPA but the flavor is nice. Overall decent session stuff.
