BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Oct 21, 2008 Sampled at the 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Orange in the glass with a thin off-white ring for a head. Hoppy aroma of pine and citrus with a caramel backing. The flavor is a similar hop and malt blend to the aroma but with the caramel standing out a little more. Medium to full body and medium bitterness throughout. This is very good but I think I like the #6 just a little better. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Oct 16, 2008 Reddish amber with a small beige head. Big, strong, aggressive hop aroma (cascades?). Grapefruity hop flavor with a nice malt backbone. Dry finish. Nice. tronraner (1905), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 16, 2008 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Pours copper with thin beige head. The aroma is strong American hops, very citric. Flavor is grapefruit, orange, some even caramel, and an assertively bitter and fruity finish. Very tasty, indeed. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Oct 13, 2008 KBjam. Aroma of evergreen citrus. Lightly hazed orange pour with white head and lace. Flavor of sweet malt and very nice bitter finish. Mouthfeel and carbonation very nice. Would like to try again before I’ve had so many beers. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Oct 4, 2008 Growler bought 10/3/2008. Poured a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma of malt and hops. Flavor of pine and citrus with a great malt balance. Medium body with good carbonation. Great beer. These keep getting better with every batch.
