Black in the glass with a creamy tan head that leaves decent lacing. Nice smokey aroma with chocolate malt background. The flavor was of coffee, milk chocolate, and lightly smoked. Medium body. An awesome Tennessee offering. Needs to be bottled! T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA

It has a different type of tast than most stouts and is hard to describe. A nice smoky aroma and nice roasty taste. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Aroma features dry cocoa and toasted/roasted malts. Flat black body with a thick mocha head. Mild roast elements appear first on the initial sip then chocolate, grainy cereal notes tastes more like a sweet stout than a dry stout though it certainly has a coarser and thicker mouthfeel than a SS. Not truly a bad beer, but it seems to stray pretty far from the Dry Stout recipe book. mojoman (44), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

You are rewarded with a great roasted finish with this one. Strong in alcohol. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

Flavor is a bit sour with a raspberry tea like taste. . Really liked the finish, chocolate cheesecake like finish. Even with all the sweetness it does finish dry. Active carbonation.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2006 Rich, malty, smokey, slightly sweet raisinette aroma. Very dark, big tan head. Not sweet, tart, somehow simultanteously rich but going vacant. Smokey, creosote. Finishes sausagey. Medium-heavy mouth. A great compliment to cheese and salami. trafford (171), Germantown, Tennessee, USA

Not as strong or creamy as other stouts but it had a nice complex flavor that went down well.
