Commercial Description:
A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

From a bottle sampled at the Knoxville Brewers Jam. Aroma has some nice hops, with a gentle malt backbone. Flavor is generously hopped (as suggested) with nice malt balance. A fine APA from Tennessee.

A Sim rate (on tap at the Flyng Saucer Memphis): Wheaty aroma. Nice amber colour wth decent lacing. The flavour’s a bit harsh, though, and the alcohol really shows. Wheat. Malt. Nice enough.

Draft sample at SBGF07. Poured an amber color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Light sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

amber, thin head, sweet piny citrus aroma, big hoppy flavor on a slightly sweet carmel malt base, bitterness eventually takes over and leaves everything else to languish in the dust

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours with a copper body and tight off-white head that lasts till the end. Pleasant citrus aroma that is reflected in the taste without being just a hop-delivery-vehicle like many American ales. Good malty background for the hops. Finishes with a slightly unpleasant funky note that I can’t quite pin down. Better than "dos perros" though.

Slightly amber colored. Not much head. Some grassy and citrus aroma. The flavor is clean and balanced with malt and hops.

Bottle fron Decaturstevo @ DLD, thanks Steve. Pours a slightly cloudy orange color with a small head that disappears quickly. The aroma has definite citrus notes with a a little bit of grass thrown in for good measure. Thin mouthfeel, it did follow 4 or so GL Lake Erie Monsters, with not much carbonation. The flavor had some bready citrus thing going on early, with a slightly spicey grass flavor in the finish.
