Commercial Description:
A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

On tap and in bottle, at Gaylord Opry Hotel. Pours light copper in colour, with white head. Floral hoppy aroma. Taste is hoppy, with a dry hop finish. Did I mention that it was hoppy? Nice beer, but recommended for a ’session’.

Clear gold pour and a decent off-white head. Subtle citrus aroma. Has a good sweet malt flavor and the bitterness too. Nice smooth texture.

Bottle pours a slightly hazed golden amber with a small offwhite head. Sparse lacing. Aroma is citrusy grapefruit and lemon rind. Light medium body. Taste has a lot of earthy and citrusy hop bitterness. Not much of a malt presence. Nice taste, but good use more malt balance.

on tap at brewery. small white long lasting creamy head into semi-sparkling golden body. aromas of lt-mod citrus hops, lt malts (caramel), and some pepperyness. flavor is initially moderate bittersweet and finishes without the sweet. long finish duration. lively carbonation. impressive pale.

Bottle 01.29.09 courtesy of my lovely friend Anna. Pours hazy orangish gold, white head. Aroma is hoppy floral, citrus, and peaty. Flavor is watery soggy peaty hops. Pretty limp. Anna warned me about this, but it was a beer that I haven’t tried so I gave it a chance anyway.

Another nice offering from Yazoo and Blues. Pours a semi hazy copper colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is fruity- with fresh hops (west coast?) and subtle pine. Taste is very pleasent, soft and creamy- not too hoppy (which i was hoping for) but full and citrusy with a very smooth caramel finish. Very nice!

Reviewed 1/29/2009 (bottled Week 2 Sep): Pours a very clear golden amber colored body, with a creamy white head, and good lacing. Has a pilsnery malty aroma. A pilsnery taste, grainy. I do not like that taste in my beer. Fresh but the grain taste turns me off.

From a 12 oz. bottle sent to me from a friend in TN. Aroma is spicy citrusy, a slight lime/pineapple aroma, slightly yeasty. deep golden color, clear with a little sediment from the bottle with a thin white head, egg-white foamy. Up front is hop flavor and bitterness followed by the malt which is bready with a little toasty biscuit. Malt is not too sweet and has some depth that is a little overpowered by the sharp hop flavor. Drinkable but slightly out of balance.
