It has a bright citrus aroma. There’s a sharp orange-ishness and tart. Tight finish. Pretty good. ¾ (5003), Colorado, USA

Slightly grassy hops note, branch and bark-like, buttery, leafy nose with some gritty wheat and malt notes. Reminds me of SNPA at times. Dry and bitter throughout, with some grassy, piney flavors. Moderate thickness for a pale ale. Overall very refreshing and fruity, with proper bittering levels. Well made. Bottle purchased in Nashville. qdog (201), Cleveland, Mississippi, USA

Pours copper with a huge off white head, lasts quite awhile, but no lacing. SpringsLicker called it: juicy fruit aroma. Semi citrus like sweetness with a huge malt backbone. Nice oily body, Finish is pretty well balanced malt sweetness, with a dry-hopped bitterness. Not really a pale ale fan, but was pleasantly surprised by this brew. Thanks again Neil!! Not the generic hops n’ earth microbrew taste found in many pale ales, especially the less satisfying western brews. But it’s an acquired taste with a sharp edge to it, on the tart side of citrusy. Finish is clean, aftertaste minimal for a pale ale. This is a strong beer in it’s alcohol content. FishManLA (300), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Copper color with not much head. Nose of malts with subtle earthy and fruity notes. Complex malt taste with notes of fruit and subtle hints of spices. Tangy finish with whisps of spice. A lot of interesting complexity to the nose and the taste. Good. Balance of flavors seemed a little off, but a decent brew.
