Jan 3, 2009 12 oz bottle from Frugal MacDoogal’s. Poured a slightly hazy gold color with a three finger white head that disappeared quickly. Aroma was similar to what I expected from a saison with a fruity/funky note, with spices (cloves) present too. Flavor was spicy and interesting. The rye added a peppery taste. Fruit was also present on the tongue. I was impressed with this brew. Linus and the gang keep churning out the good, inventive and different brews.

Mar 28, 2009 Cloudy brownish amber, and a thin foamy beige head. Definate rye aromas up front, with some more typical saison funk in the background.Very tart flavor at first, then a mix of rye, lemon and herbs. Seems a little odd, but I liked it.

Feb 1, 2009 Bottled. Poured medium gold, cloudy, foamy off-white head. Nose is yeasty, horse-blanket, citrus. Flavor is tart, lemony, spicy. Hoppy, dry finish. Refreshing.

Dec 13, 2008 Draft at tap room. Cloudy dark pale in the glass with an off-white head that left light lace. Fruit aroma with lots of spice backing...clove mostly picked out. It continues with a fruity flavor mixed with some rye and a pepper background. Slightly metallic in flavor. Medium body that starts sweet but got a little tart.

Jun 27, 2009 Smells bizarrely of ketchup. Beautiful looking beer, medium brown. Tastes strangely like ketchup on rye. Really weird. Probably best served cold with McDonald’s cheeseburgers?

Jul 29, 2009 Pours a hazy deep golden yellow with a fleeting white head.
Sweet candy malt, fruity aroma.
Lightly sweet yet not overly complex.
Somewhat middle of the road for the style, but a beer that is well done and it is certainly nice to see the effort from a local brewer.

Aug 6, 2009 Bottle shared by Avengedpoet. Pours a lightly hazed golden with a head that consists of large co2 bubbles. Aroma is grass, yeasts, fruit, malt. Flavor is vegetal, bitter, fruity, rye. Very strange brew.

Jan 21, 2009 5th anniversary bottle. Cloudy orange with fair white head. Orange citrus aroma with hints of white pepper spice. Flavor is orange peel, a twinge of sourness, and a little hop spice. Medium thin body with moderately high carbonation. Refreshing change of pace, but not really a winter beer.
