This and Brandon’s Hop Blaster were my favorites on my visit to Yazoo, and hard to pick a winner of the two. Aroma of chocolate malts, rye, grains, coffee, and toast. Well-balanced palate of all of those elements, with really nice rye and malt flavors. Finger width of khaki head. Aromas of rye, pepper and dark fruits. Good toasty malt nose. Full bodied with flavors of cocoa and toffee. Touch coffee acidity. Mildly nutty with dark fruity esters. Medium / light body with very sharp carbonation. The flavor starts a bit spicy along with cocoa, some sourness and overall dryness. The finish is bit on the water side. Flavor is dark roasted malt and rye, lightly sweet and smooth. Dry finish. Not bad at all.
