Growler courtesy of lithy. Pours dark brown with a ruby red tint and a lasting tan head. Smells of some rye, sweet, earthy, a fruity hint, roasty, some molasses touches. Tastes of rye, nutty, spicy, some metallic touches, light citrus. Full bodied with a bite on the finish. Enjoyable!

Draught. Pours black, near opaque with an off-white to light tan foamy head. Dark roasted caramel and chocolate malt aroma. Hoppy dark chocolate nutty malt, toast notes, flavor with some lingering sour yeast. Dark bodied and thin, oily palate.

Draft at the Flying Saucer, Nashville. Reddish black, thin tan head. Faint rye aroma, with a sweetish note, as well. The rye is a bigger player in the flavor. It actually taste like rye and RC Cola, and that is actually a better combination than it sounds. There are also some note of raisin and cherry, too. Tasty.

Muted aroma. Complex, nutty, moderately astringent, light cocoa, mild-ish. Extra smooth and frothy. Dark ruby brown. Moderately fruity at times. Medium-light sweetness. Very good - I really enjoyed it. On tap, Flying Saucer, Nashville. WLDD trip.

Pours with a dark brown body topped by a meidum thick head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a touch of bitter sweet chocolate. Rather weak. Medium bodied and smooth.

Pours deep mahogany with a large frothy head. The aroma has light cocoa, roasty malt and cream. Medium / light body with very sharp carbonation. The flavor starts a bit spicy along with cocoa, some sourness and overall dryness. The finish is bit on the water side. Okay beer.

Black pour with hints of red, creamy tan head and lace. Burnt coffee on the nose mostly. Toasted malt, chocoffee flavor with caramel. A light/medium bitter and a hint of semi sweet at the end. A tad fizzy and thin. A more than solid offering.
