Yokohama brewery has stepped up their game in the past few years and this attempt at an English-styled IPA is a decent enough brew. The flavour focus is more on subtle hops and light malty crispness. The finish is nice, but nothing too complex. Certainly not something to go out of your way for, but it fit the sunny afternoon nicely.

Bottled. Hazy amber, rich firm head. Floral fruity nose. Mid-sweet with buttey malt forming a rounded well sized body. There’s caramel and oraneg as well as strong floral notes. Finishes with significant bitterness. An IPA balancing power and elegance.

Thanks omhper for charing the bottle. Nice off-white foam over a orange ale. The aroma containes flowers and spices. Good hop taste with a balanced sweetness and a moderate plesent bitterness.

Mide of the road IPA. Not really hoppy and just OK to drink. I had a small taster of it and was glad that was all I had. Really needs reworking.

Draught at the brewpub. Light copper with a nice creamy white head. Fruity, spicy aroma, with cinnamon and caramel. Very fruity flavor, with strong hops, and a crisp, bitter finish. Somewhat lacking punch and crispness. Metallic and flinty, and way too fizzy! The more I drank, the less I enjoyed it. Drinkable, but not near as good as their lagers.
