This is a 10th year anniversary brew that I have to say doesn’t promise much for celebration. Very citrusy flavoured and quite overpowering. Nice if you like you fruity zesty ale but not my cup of tea!

Apr 4, 2009 Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Pale golden with a slight cloudiness. Perfumed scent ni the mouth with a dominant bitter-sweet grapefruit aroma.

Oct 11, 2008 Cask, gravity, at Bedford BF ’08. Pale gold with a small white head. Spicy underarm aroma. Not very exciting citrus in the taste. Can’t see why everyone loves this. Rather dull.

Oct 10, 2008 Junction Tavern, Kentish Town. Buttery and tasty with a pink grapefruit bite. A very nice beer.

Jul 5, 2008 Cask gravity at Haddenham Beer Festival, Haddenham, Bucks, 05-07-08 Pours a glorious golden colour with just the merest hint of a thin white head. Wonderful floral nose with plenty of hoppy notes. Stunning citrus flavours, starting with a sweet tangerine and finishing with some grapefruit pithiness. This is a fruity zippy, zappy citric wonder evreryone on the table loved it and it could well turn out to be my beer of the festival, marvellous.

May 4, 2008 (Cask at Dog & Duck, Soho, London, 27 april 2008) Golden yellow colour with green tinges, brief white head. Fruity, floral nose with lemon and citrussy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of lemon and grassy, citrussy hops in the finish. Fairly sweet, medium body. Nice citrussy hop character.

Apr 26, 2008 Cask handpull at The Roscoe Head, Liverpool. Gold, thin beige head. Some lovely ascetic lemon/grapefruit aroma. Little bit too ascetic for me. Hop is really quite aggressive. Hot hop on finish. Good condition. Green hop flower on finish is excellent.

Sep 2, 2007 Cask conditioned at Blackfriars, Glasgow. Pale amber coloured. Big hoppy aroma with notes of exotic fruits. Very soft and juicy hop flavour with some nice herbal hop boitterness in the finish. Very good.

Aug 27, 2007 Updated: Aug 30, 2007Blackfriers. Aroma has hints of sulphur, loads og grassy floural hops. Taste the bitterness hits you, grassy with citrus floural hints, decent pale malt base also. RERATE: This is one of the best cask ales iv ever had so hoppy so delicious i had to come home early but eneded up having to punish 2 pints just to make sure the rating was worthwhile.
