I drank this at the brewery and this was one of my first English craft experiences that I remember. I bought a couple of bottles back to the US and although it not my favorite beer I have a craving for it every now and then. It had a good clarity, a great hop taste and a surprisingly clean bitter ending. Definately worth a visit.

Pours gold, pure white head. This is a decent bitter, grainy, cereal and unusually creamy, but not in the horribly artificial way that some bitters are, then a nice dry finish. Good.

On handpull. Golden with a grainy malt aroma. Surprisingly creamy palate, but a bit of a standard bitter (not that there is anythign wrong with that!).

Tried at the wheatsheaf under the hop exchange. Looks a touch ’unsettled’ more of a chill haze than anything but i don’t mind that at all. Oozes with fresh citrus hop flavours and a firm malt presence lovely afternoon pint.

Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW, Victoria SW1. Pours a slightly hazy pale amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty aroma with some hints of citrus. Fruity malty flavor with some hoppy citrus hints. Has a sweetish fruity and malty finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Handpulled cask at several places between Yok and London. Gold with good white head. Crisp and bitter but well balanced. The perfect session bitter.

From cask at Thomsens. Pours clear and golden orange with a small dense and white head. Light spiced and roasted malty aroma. Flavour too is quite dominant on the malt flavours. Does hold a light bitterness and mild fruity accent. Finish is smooth roasted malty with a slowly building bitterness on the back of the tongue and into the far finish.

Cask, 4.2% at GBBF08. Weak but refreshing fruit aroma. Almost clear shiny golden colour. Small stable frothy white head. Good fruity flavour with a good rough hop to balance.
