The aroma has notes of fruity esters, caramel, and a little hop. The flavor has a caramel sweetness at the forefront but quickly becomes slighltly fruity and finishes smooth and mild. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2006 Brownish red body with a half inch thick off-white head. Smells hoppy with some malt, but I noticed the hop first. Tastes roasty, malty and hoppy. Flavor does not overwealm, though. Rather enjoyable and fairly drinkable. Too bad they don’t make this anymore... MadIndian (994), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2006 Poured a copper color with medium head that dissapated quickly. (good glass lacing) Sweet aroma with a hint of hop. Body was a bit thin and watery but overall it was a decent average beer. Goes down smooth with no nasty after taste. I would like to try it on tap. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2006 Bottle (500ml). Clear light chestnut with a very large tan foamy lasting head. Malty and yeasty aroma, caramel, chocolate, fresh moderate herbal UK hops; dry - smells like a malty bitter. Taste mild roast chocolate malt, a little leafy and bark-y, soft herbal-floral hops, slightly sweet finish. The body’s a little thin, but not too bad for a bitter, appropriate carbonation and astringency, nice linger, no aftertaste or off-putting sourness - pretty decent. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Bottle. Malty, lightly nutty aroma with decent hops, hints at a thin bitterness. Floral and slightly stale, though. Brown-amber pour with a fluffy rocky lacy cream head. Flavor is dry and somewhat bitter, fruitiness is subdued and stale. Light-to-medium body, aftertaste is very lightly bitterish. Drinkable enough, but ultimately forgettable. IrishBoy (2712), Bakersfield, California, USA
