| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 21, 2005 Amber, red colored ale. Botlle. Hoppy aroma with a bit sweet, malt taste. Not exciting at all, but drinkable. Thin palate. skortila (2905), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 21, 2005 Hoppy, bit weak aroma. Amber-red/brown coloured with a thin, lasting off-white head. Taste is quite weak. Malty, sweet and hoppy. Bitterness evolves from middle to finish but can’t hide the too watery body of the beer. Below average bitter. Sregnar35 (730), Rotterdam, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 16, 2005 This is one of those good beers that’s great to start a friend off with, when they say that they want to start drinking something a little less yellow fizzy. Good, smooth, not gonna scare anyone. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 15, 2005 This was an interesting one. First of all, best before May 1, 2005. Secondly, when I poured it in my glass, the entire sides of the glass were crowded with little bubbles. If I hit the glass the bubbles would rise up. When I poured more after that was finished it was like any other beer. On to the review - pours a golden red color, small amount of head. Aroma and taste is rather weak and basic, but still enjoyable. At 4.1% ABV his beer hardly has anything in it. The beer was boring, watching it in the glass was fun though. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 14, 2005 Not bad, smooth, thick head, cola like color, a little weak and metalic tasting, but drinkable fatty (363), Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2005 Found this by accident and got it just for the name. Was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually a decent beer too. Reddish amber body with a thin white, dissipating head. Hops in the aroma, but very light in the flavor. Thin and smooth mouthfeel that was easy to drink. Light sweetness in the finish. scotty (832), Scotland
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 18, 2005 I expected more from this as I’m a fan of Youngs beers, but have to admit this was nothing more than a bog standard bitter. I found it quite malty, with the hop character played down for a Youngs beer. I will admit that it is past its BBE date by nearly 2 months but thats not bothered me in the past, and I don’t think the bottle is "off" in any way, I just think it wasn’t that good a beer in the first place. Bought from a grocer in Biggar ( name of which escapes me, but it’s on the left if you’re driving west, it won a "Grocer of The year" or something similar a few years back, great selection of beers, but watch the dates on them!) beerinmarch (2806), Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2005 Pours a red/amber with a thing white head. Aroma of a very mild barleywine, very malty with an apple fruit aroma. Taste starts with a very mild sweetness, filling to a nice apple malt core and a fairly hoppy finish. Medium weight on the palate, but overall smooth and mild malt brew.
