Syrupy sweet aroma, crystal malt is truly evident, with some hop spiciness. Light body, with a smooth mouthfeel. Crystal malt flavor, with some residual roastiness that sticks around in the finish. Subdued hops, rendering more spiciness rather than bitter or fruit flavors. Even as the beer warms up, the hops never make a definitive splash on the palate. Doesn’t coat the mouth in the manner that the syrupy, malty character in the aroma and flavor would suggest. Fairly elegant as a balance of simplicity, but its drinkability was marred by an ephemeral mustiness than I normally equate with a lack of freshness. I had to travel a long ways to get to my town though, so I guess as much is to be expected. Tmoney99 (4785), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Apprearance, aroma and flavor were pleasing and very drinkable. Price in pub was above average. donrajin (233), Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, USA

Light copper color, small off-white head, good lace. Sweet, fruity, hoppy, little soapy, smooth. Very drinkable and nice ale although just 4.1 ABV. I also had a bottled which said 5.2% ABV but no recognisable difference in the flavor. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

A good alternative to you premium lagers r.e. bud, miller, etc. You could drink a crap load of these. Strykzone (1496), Wood River, Illinois, USA

Nothing fancy here, just a nice smooth tasting beer. Aroma is a little thin, head disappears after a few minutes, etc. But the pleasant flavor keeps coming. I liked it. You gotta have fun with the name, too. I’m happiest with a Dirty Dick.
