Dec 23, 2003 Pours a deep red with a tiny head that doesn't disappear halfway through. Aroma is dominated by malt, there's very little hop aroma, surprising for a British bitter. Flavor is sweet biscuit with a touch of bitterness and some butterscotch.

Dec 20, 2003 Copper. Light tan head. Smell is weak hops and weaker malt; taste is the same except for an unexpected somewhat winey citrus bite. Disappointing and odd.

Dec 3, 2003 Bottled. At the Lamb, Leadenhall Market. Deep amber colour with a medium to thick tan head. Wild bitter hop aroma with decent bitter hop finish. Any texture in the palate was lost in the silkiness of the cask Winter Warmer. My fault. Apols.

Nov 5, 2003 Copper/amber with a thin head. Nutty, malty nose with subtle hints of British hops. Taste is sweet overall with just a touch of bitterness at the finish. Lighter bodied than I expected, but drinkable and refreshing.

Nov 2, 2003 Bottle pours deep amber, almost copper color with very little head. The aroma is of biscuit malt and some hop. The flavor is of biscuit malt and a bit of a hop bitter in the far end. The palate is medium rich. Overall, this could be a good session beer, but not one I would look for.
