Jul 20, 2003 Bland, boring - kept waiting for something to happen with this one but it never came around. Light copper appearance, decent head with good lacing. Has a very slight hoppy aroma. Very bland bitterness - just never gets going flavorwise. Not a drainpour, just extremely boring.

Jul 10, 2003 Color is clear chestnut brownish with a nice head. Taste is sweet with a nice bitter finish.

Jul 7, 2003 Color is clear coppery brown with a tannish head of creamy foam about a finger high. Smells of musty grass and bread with a touch of a sweet malt note. Taste is mild and fairly smooth with a dry breadish flavor, slightly sweet and malty, but I was put off by the bitterness, its a bit raw and uneven, very uncomforting. Feel is light full body with a drying unpleasant finish thats a little rough. A passable offering, stick with the Double Chocolate from Young's, much more pleasing and yummy then this Dirty Dick's, it explains on the bottle how the name was given to this beer, but I have my suspicions?
