Its body is a very pretty transparent dark amber brown. It has a slight hoppy after taste with just a little bite to it. There was some carbonation in the mouth and a light spicy flavor argo0 (6982), Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2003 Can't comment on the appearance too well because of the lighting where I was, but it looked a dark orange/brown with a good sized frothy head. Aromas were fairly mild; malty, with a really smooth taste. A little hoppy kick at the start, but then the rest is smooth as can be. Floral/dark fruit flavors are hidden along with a semi-cardboard blandness that can be forgiven at times, but the chalky aftertaste can not. It's neat how it progresses from sharp to mild so quickly. Medium carbonation and it is slightly bitter. This is a decent beer. I'd drink it again. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 23, 2003 Dark brown / ruby color with an off white mostly diminishing head. It is definately drinkable and a good choice if you are in a light alcohol mood. Overall however, mostly unimpressive. Crisp, some bitterness and a little malt but too washed out for my taste. belgianhomebrew (646), Acworth, Georgia, USA
