Dec 31, 2006 Bottle. Best by Aug. 04, 2006. The beer pours to a shiny brass colored body with a tall creamy off-white head. The aroma is strange. I get notes of baby powder and powdered sugar. The flavor is mellow with a light bitterness and sweet backbone. Not really malty or sugary... simply sweet. The palate is sweet with a decent mouthfeel. Finishes clean and lightly dry. A touch thin however. "Better" than a 2.8 rating in that I’ll definitely drink it, but I couldn’t see bumping it up.

Dec 28, 2006 Bottled. Clear, copper-colored beer with an off-white head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, caramel-notes, frutiyness and malt. The flavor is a bit weaker, with roasted malt and caramel. The mouthfeel really ruins this beer, thin and watery, yet it is a quice nice and quaffable beer. (061124)
