500 ml bottle. Finland. Pitch black colour with dark tan colour medium head. Aroma is mainly dark and even milk chocolate but also some roasted malts and hints of coffee. Flavour is much more coffee and cocoa with some chocolate. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin. There is probably more than 10 years when I first tasted this brew and back then it was just delicious. Well, it’s still pretty good.

This beer is actually dessert like. Most chocolatey beer I’ve ever had. Very smooth, creamy texture, but not so much that it has the characteristics of a milk stout. Definitely get the bottle, not the cans, it’s a huge upgrade. If there’s a downside, it’s that it’s the flavor is more one-note than other beers of this caliber.

Too-thin but chocolate laced porter. One of the first porters I drank getting into beer. Loved it then, but have had so much better since.

Bottle; subtle chocolate aroma; nice balance of chocolate hints that flows over the palate without overpowering; felt at times I would taste tiny pockets of cocoa powder which kept me intrigued with it. (#19)

Can. Poured jet black with a dense brown head. Aroma is of sweet malt. Chocolate flavor is pretty pronounced but never overpowering. Very balanced chocolate to malt ratio. I would like a bit more carbonation in it. Great stout.
