Bella68 (38), Alabama, USA Dec 29, 2008 This was amazing! I mean, who knew you could actually satisfy a chocolate craving with beer? The head was tan and so light and creamy. Something worth stocking up on! erictheill (1), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Dec 27, 2008 One of my favorite Stouts. Very well balanced chocolate flavor. Not overly strong or dark. DalzAle (476), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA Dec 27, 2008 Dark brown pour with a nice half inch head and a mild chocolate aroma. Very thick mouthfeel and flavor of rich milk chocolate and hazelnut. A very good beer, but not one that will keep me coming back over and over again. derekvaiti (4), modena, Italy does not count Dec 23, 2008 I had it this fall in Modena, my town, at Griffins Irish Pub, in Largo Hannover.
I was really surprised to find out that this beer is actually made with real cacao and the flavour is so full that I had three at once.
it was astonishing.
No acid flavours, very creamy and smooth. If you, eventually, have it hot it would seem to you real hot chocolate. KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 21, 2008 Black with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with plenty of roassted malt, caramel and chocolate notes. Sweet flavour with flavour with loads of chocolate and roasted malt. Finished sweet. sc0ttyd0g (17), , Greater London, England Dec 19, 2008 Bottle, Founders Arms, Southbank. Smooth, bitter choc aroma. Port hints in aroma. wyzzywyz22 (754), Wirral, Merseyside, England Dec 18, 2008 Bottle Sainsburys Upton. An old favourite this. Poured deep dark brown with a reasonable tan head. Chocolate and glace cherry aroma. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Chocolate in the flavour is relatively subtle. Tasty bitterish finish. Could well be my favourite from the Youngs quiver. Nice one
